In 1923, the Pooters brothers started as the first electric joinery works. Immediately after the war in 1940-1945 brother Henk, one of the second generation Pooters, started producing laboratory furnishings, including fume hoods, wall tables and chemical cabinets. In 1970, Pooters started specialising in postforming hard plastic panels (warerite England BXL) and was the first company in the Netherlands to do so. Since then, Pooters has grown to become a strong company that is primarily engaged in processing sheet material, with the postforming and flat pressing of hard plastic panels as the business’s cornerstone. In the middle of the 1990s the Pooters factory relocated to Amersfoort, to a location with modern and extensive machinery with space for a large inventory of HPL and sheet material for production. With more than 40 years of experience in the production staff, in recent years Pooters has often realised the impossible in the field of processing HPL. The implementation of several new techniques in the field of postforming and gluing has often been the result of collaboration with a number of large HPL suppliers, such as Formica, Egger, Resopal and Duropal.
Today, Pooters is known for a high-quality product and the company’s clients are predominantly active in ship building, the kitchen industry and the interior design industry, including hospital and laboratory furnishers.
The Pooters product stands for; the product supplied by Pooters, manufactured by Pooters in the factory in Amersfoort and fitted with the Pooters brand stamp on the delivery note, packaging or on the product itself.
